Hi! I’m Giulia, the artist and maker behind Grumpy Gus Studio — a small creative studio where digital art, handmade goods, and ocean-inspired design come together.

I was born in Miami and grew up with my feet in the sand and my eyes on the water. The ocean shaped my childhood, my imagination, and ultimately my artwork. Later, I moved to Boston to study sculpture at MassArt, where I fell in love with working with my hands and exploring different materials.

What began as a passion for drawing has grown into this adventure. I create digital illustrations and have them professionally Giclée printed to ensure rich color, detail, and archival quality. Though I now live and create in the Hudson Valley, the water is still my compass.

The ocean has given me so much, and giving back is a core part of this business. That’s why 5% of all sales are donated to the Coral Restoration Foundation, supporting the vital work of rebuilding and protecting our coral reefs.

Every purchase supports a small artist, the future of this studio, and the health of our oceans. I’m so excited to keep creating, exploring new mediums, and sharing this journey with you.
